The Tau cross is usually associated with the Franciscan Order and St. Francis of Assisi.  It gets it's name from the Hebrew alphabet's last letter, which was pronounced "Taw" and means "MARK" which later became the Roman symbol for crucifixion and redemption.

Wood crucifix is 1-3/4" high x 1" wide and hangs on a long, thin brown cord.
